Frances Spurlin (congressional caseworker)
Frances Spurlin was a constituent services representative for Alabama's 2nd congressional district from 1985 to 2013, working for three successive U.S. representatives. She was honored in the Congressional Record on her retirement.

Career
In a December 9, 2013, statement in the Congressional Record, Representative Martha Roby announced that Spurlin would retire on December 31, 2013, after 27 years with the House of Representatives.[1] According to the tribute, she started in 1985 when Representative Bill Dickinson opened a district office in Opp, Alabama. She stayed on when Terry Everett took office in 1993 and joined Roby's staff in 2011.[1]
Roby described Spurlin as a constituent services representative for almost three decades. Her casework covered veterans, small business owners, farmers, and local and state officials, and she trained and mentored other congressional staff.[1]
