Bass fishing
- Austin Spurlin fished as a co-angler in FLW's Stren Series. FLW's reports list him as from Fayetteville, Georgia, in 2007 and from Peachtree City, Georgia, in 2008.
- In January 2007 he fished his first Stren Series event, on Lake Okeechobee in Florida. On day two he caught a 9-pound, 2-ounce bass, which he called the biggest of his life. It won the day's big-bass award in the Co-angler Division and moved him into the co-angler lead with a two-day total of 26 pounds, 15 ounces.[1]
- In February 2008 he caught the co-angler big bass on day three of the Stren Series Southeastern event on Lake Seminole, at 7 pounds, 8 ounces.[2]
- At the Stren Series Championship on Table Rock Lake, Missouri, in November 2008, he finished ninth among the top 10 co-anglers. He weighed no bass on the final day and won $3,700.[3]
- Roccoa Spurlin of Valley, Alabama, has an MLF angler profile listing 34 events and $1,401 in career winnings, all as a co-angler. As MLF now labels the circuits, his results run from 2014 to 2016 in the Toyota Series Northern division, including the 2014 Toyota Series Championship (78th place), and from 2018 to 2022 in the Phoenix Bass Fishing League, mostly in its Bama division.[4]
Golf
- C. E. Spurlin played in the 1963 U.S. Senior Amateur at Sea Island Golf Club on St. Simons Island, Georgia. The USGA's championship records list his round-of-16 loss to Col. William K. Lanman Jr., 7 and 6, as one of the largest winning margins in a round-of-16 match in the championship's history.[5]

Searches of drag racing, NASCAR regional and Racing-Reference, PRCA/WPRA rodeo, PBA bowling, powerlifting and BoxRec/Sherdog/Tapology combat-sport records found no Spurlin competitors with published results.
