He wore No. 51 and was listed at 6 ft 0 in and 210 pounds.[1] The same roster archive lists him on the 1984 team as a freshman quarterback, at 5 ft 11 in and 210 pounds.[1] Sports-Reference's college football database records him as an Auburn quarterback in 1984. He played in 12 games that season and ran the ball five times for 14 yards.[2]
Auburn's 1985 roster also includes a second player from Opp: Alex Spurlin, a sophomore strong safety. Alex Spurlin was listed again in 1986 as a junior, wearing No. 16, at 5 ft 10 in and 184 pounds.[3] No source consulted says whether the two are related.
